Jan MacDougall

Jan MacDougall has served as regular presenter of leadership classes for Strategic Government Resources since 2007. She has over 30 years of experience in teaching, sales, corporate training, and leading personal growth/relationship building seminars.

A graduate of Texas A & M University-Commerce, she has a B.S.in Education and M.S. in English/Educational Administration and also has an M.A. in Professional Counseling.  Certifications include Diversity from University of North Texas, Human Performance Improvement from the American Society for Training and Development, as well as Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and 4 Roles of Leadership.

She continues to consult with businesses in all areas of leadership, specializing in communication. While serving as VP for a Dallas company, Jan established a corporate “university” with a focus on developing leadership and customer service skills for over 800 employees.  Most recently she completed her internship at the Ross Institute for Trauma.

Her life has had a focus on community service. She served as Vice President of United Way and was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer who served as a voice for abused and neglected children in our court system. Jan is also Executive Director of Inspired STEPS, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that leads experiential trainings for at-risk youth. She has spoken at educational, special topic, and state counseling conferences. She was awarded the Yellow Rose of Texas Award by the Governor for her significant contributions to Texas.

Jan is a Frisco resident. She and her husband Duncan lead the pre-marital mentoring program for their church. For fun, she enjoys her four grandchildren and walks on a sandy beach, whenever possible.
